I aim to capture and hero the stories and visions of people within my UX, User-centred Design and Photography, ultimately bringing people together.

My Vission.

I want to be able to support myself and my family through pursuing my life’s passion of Design, Photography and People, while producing work that is able to incite change for global humanitarian issues and bring people together.

My Past.

Although it does not always dictate the future, the Past provides insight into a person’s skills, experience and drive. My creative past is captured in My curriculum vitae (CV) found below.

Hey There.

Alex Cox is a young and enthusiastic designer, photographer, student, and people-person hailing from a small country town just outside of Wagga Wagga, NSW. Currently progressing through a Bachelor of Creative Industries (Design & Visual Arts / Interdisciplinary Innovations) at CSU Wagga, Alex’s specialisations are allowing him to gain a foothold in Print, User-Experience (UX), User-Interface (UI), and Website Design along with focuses in Marketing and Project Management.

Described as an observant, kind person, Alex’s decisions within his course and his occupation as an event photographer have led his practice to develop into focusing around his empathy for people and the range of perspectives others can provide to enrich his work and the world in general. Alex’s design style utilises a clean-lined, flowing aesthetic that is influenced by geometric shape and the perspective being told at the time, especially with his focus on colour. Within his Photography, Alex focuses upon Portrait and Event Photography, both in his personal and professional endeavours, and enjoys incorporating depth through featuring other people and rural landscapes in his photos.

Driven by a curiosity for problem-solving and exploring the depth of how different people express their perspectives, Alex is heavily influenced in his life and personal art practice by classic cars, the stories of family members, the music of Jon Bellion, and the work of George Gittoes, Ben Quilty, Conor Harrington, and Peter Robinson (Ten Hundred). This along with his own practice of painting, sketching, and training as a DJ helps Alex to continue to explore and expand his knowledge and skill in order to apply it to his professional creations.

Always striving forward, Alex aims to improve his skills within his respective disciplines over the next 3 years and further into the future in order to allow him to progress further in his current event photography and DJ job while gaining access into the UX/UI or marketing industries. In this time he endeavours to begin freelance work and would ultimately like to progress his practice to the point of creating work in order to assist and raise awareness of humanitarian issues and causes while traveling.
